Where the photos are in Celebration Key

1. Paradise Plaza

   The first of the island's five portals and the place you land, with live music, guest information and photo ops. Take the arrival picture here, before you disappear into the beach.

2. The beach

   A mile long stretch of white sand with clear Bahamian water, the picture the destination is named for.

3. Starfish Lagoon

   The family lagoon, with the Flash Flamingo and Mach III Marlin waterslides, the Guppy Grotto splash pad and courts for basketball, beach volleyball and pickleball.

4. Calypso Lagoon

   The adult-friendly area west of the entrance plaza, a stretch of beach and a three acre freshwater swimming lagoon with a 40 seat swim-up bar beside an island where a DJ plays all day.

5. Lokono Cove

   The portal for the Bahamian side of things, where you can look at local art and take in the culture, a good place for a picture that says where you are.

How the light works

The island is flat and open, so the sun is direct on the water and the sand, and it is easy to get overexposed faces. Take group pictures in the shade of a cabana or a palm, and save the wide beach shot for the low sun of late afternoon. The lagoons are very bright, so use the swim-up bar's shade for portraits.

Before you go ashore

Ships call at a pier that can take two of the largest ships at once, with more berths planned, and the main attractions are a short walk or tram ride from the ship. Celebration Key opened in July 2025, so it is a young destination and things change: check your ship's daily plan, and remember that a few of the areas, like Pearl Cove Beach Club, are for adults and cost extra.
